From April 21, Google will be expanding its use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change is called “Mobilegeddon”. What Google will be doing is launching an algorithm to favour websites that are “mobile-friendly”. About 60% of online traffic now comes from mobile and Google wants users to have a good experience whenever they click on a website link.
This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Websites that haven’t been updated could find themselves ranked a lot lower, which in turn could mean a huge loss of business.
